A Rogue's Life by Wilkie Collins, Chapter 1. This is a fun story. Although it's a bit long (with 16 chapters or so), it's way short in comparison with other works by Collins. Enjoy.
P.S. Starting with this story, a new installment will be posted about once a week, rather than daily.

I've been receiving an increasing number of e-mails lately from the listeners. Although I cannot write back to each of you due to time constraints, please know that I fully appreciate your encouragement and support, and I hope you yourselves will enjoy reading orally.

P.S. I'm nearly out of recorded stories to share with you. Perhaps going daily has taken its toll. After the current tale by D. H. Lawrence, I'm planning to fish out novels that were recorded earlier (but were never shared before), and post them on a less frequent basis.
