A number of episodes in The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes are rather repetitive of the ones in The Adventires. The episode that starts today is no exception (I won't mention which story it echoes, but fans will know immediately). It seems the author became fresh out of ideas for new stories. No wonder he wanted to finish Holmes off at the end of The Memoirs. Yet this book introduces a few interesting characters, including Sherlock's brother Mycroft and the infamous Professor Moriarty. I'm selecting severa more episodes from this book, and will end the series with The Final Problem later in the year.
