A couple of months back, I set up a sister site which is focused on reading current news articles. Updated daily, the News Readathon site offers readings of selected online articles. I wasn't sure if I could go on doing this every day, but since two months have already passed and I'm not panting for air, I guess I'll keep going for as long as I get some fun out of it. Visitors interested in news articles, columns, etc. are encouraged to give this site a look.
Weekend Theater 1

A tip for you: The BBC Radio site offers numerous radio dramas, each streamed for about a week. You can use free streaming recorder software (preferably with a timer function) to store your favorite shows and build a fine library of radio dramas. Brothers Karamazov, Les Miserables, Sherlock Holmes vs Dracula (yes, really), Sara Paretsky mystery and many other titles are currently available, and a lot more are upcoming!

"The Final Problem" from The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Part 4 of 4.
This concludes the episode, as well as my Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes podcast.
Some years after laying the consulting detective to rest, Conan Doyle wrote The Hound of the Baskervilles (which I've recently recorded; I might share this with you some other time). The story was supposed to have taken place well before the Final Problem, so it was not really a revival of Holmes, but it does reflect the enormous popularity of the series at the time.

"The Final Problem" from The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Part 3 of 4.
By the way, BBC is making available an apocryphal Sherlock Holmes radio drama, The Further Adventures of Sherlock Holmes: The Marlbourne Point Mystery Part 1 and Part 2, if you are interested. The website says part 1 and 2 of 4, but the episode concludes in just two parts. Hurry, because the streaming expires in 5 days or so!
